GUWAHATI: Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is currently in Assam shooting for his next film, 'Anek' has been overwhelmed with the love that he has received in the North East.
According to reports, every day around 40-50 people from neighbouring villages throng to the sets to meet the 'Andhadhun' star and wish him luck for upcoming film 'Anek'.
Khurrana, who is well known for his work in off-beat, content laden films and unique roles, is enjoying the love and fandom.
Talking about the love he has received from the people, Khurrana said, "I'm truly overwhelmed with the love that I'm receiving from the people here in North East. I have met all those who have been kind enough to come to our sets to wish me luck for 'Anek'.
He further said that the affection he has gotten will always stay with him. He added, "It was humbling to know that they love my craft and my brand of cinema and I have had interactions with them during shot breaks and post wrap whenever possible. The warmth that I have received from the people here will always stay with me, motivating me to do better and to entertain my country better."
'Anek' is helmed by director Anubhav Sinha. It is the second collaboration of Ayushmann Khurana and Anubhav Sinha, who previously worked together in 'Article 15'.
'Anek', reportedly an action-thriller, is being produced by Anubhav Sinha's Benaras Media Works and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. The shoot for 'Anek' started in the last week of January. According to reports, the film will be shot across the North East.
Earlier this month Ayushmann Khurana took to Twitter to share his look from the film.
Khurrana was last seen in Shoojit Sircar's 2020 film 'Gulabo Sitabo' which released exclusively on Prime Videos due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He has two more projects lined up, a romantic drama titled 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' and comedy 'Doctor G'.
