Assam: Tangla College prepares to celebrate golden jubilee in Udalguri district

Tangla College in Udalguri district is gearing up for its grand golden jubilee celebration, marking 50 years of excellence in higher education since its founding in 1970.

TANGLA: Preparations are on in full swing for the grand celebration of golden jubilee of Tangla College, one of the prestigious educational institution offering higher education in Arts ,Commerce and Science and Computer Science (BCA) established way back in 1970 in Tangla of Udalguri district. According to reports, the institution is going to host its golden Jubilee celebration from February 1 to 6, 2025. In this regard, the college authorities and organizers have incorporated all the stakeholders of the institution and a  public meeting  was held recently which was  chaired by Dilip Boro MCLA and governing body chairman of the institution which was held at the college auditorium. In the meeting, the secretary of the Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee,Mintu Pathak, explained the purpose of the meet and announced that the event would be celebrated over six days, from February 1 to 6, 2025, with a series of grand activities.

He also informed that preparations for the event are in full swing and for the smooth functioning of the event besides the central committee, 17 sub-committees have been formed. The principal of Tangla College, Dr. Prasen Daimari, speaking on the ocassion sought cooperation, guidance, and support from everyone for the successful celebration of the college’s glorious Golden Jubilee.

The presidents and secretaries of the sub-committees present at the meeting shared updates on the progress of their  tasks. Pertinently, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimari, Assam Cabinet Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika, and BTC CEM Promod Boro are likely to attend the golden jubilee event, enhancing the grandeur of the celebration.
