Taking to micro-blogging site X, the Chief Minister called the achievement a proud moment for the state.

“Heartiest congratulations to Miss Yeshi Lhamu on being crowned Miss Grand India Arunachal Pradesh 2026. Hailing from Tawang, her achievement is a proud moment for the state and a reflection of the confidence, grace, and potential of our young women,” Khandu said.

The chief minister said Lhamu’s success highlights the growing talent and aspirations of youth in Arunachal Pradesh, especially young women who are making their mark across fields.

“As she steps onto the national stage, I am confident she will represent Arunachal Pradesh with dignity and pride,” he added.

Khandu also extended his best wishes to her team for the journey ahead, expressing hope that they would continue to achieve success in future endeavours.
