Guwahati Police Solve Motorcycle Theft Case Within Three Hours

The recovery of the motorcycle was made possible with the assistance of the Meghalaya Police

Guwahati: Today, the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) achieved a swift breakthrough in a motorcycle theft case, with the Noonmati Police Station team solving the case within three hours of the complaint being lodged.

The stolen vehicle, a black Yamaha R15 bearing registration number AS19R9826, was successfully recovered during the operation.

Noonmati Police arrested the alleged thief, Idul Ali, also known as Babu Boro  aged 22, a resident of Pathar Quarry in Guwahati. They also  arrested the alleged receiver of the stolen motorcycle, Edilbert Skhemlon aged 28, a resident of Mawsyinram in Meghalaya.

The recovery of the motorcycle was made possible with the assistance of the Meghalaya Police, whose coordinated efforts helped trace the vehicle and facilitate the arrests. Police said the prompt action by the investigating team enabled officers to crack the case in record time and recover the stolen motorcycle before it could be disposed of.
