GUWAHATI: Police apprehended eight individuals in connection with an alleged gang rape incident in Boragaon. Acting promptly, Inspector Mayurjit Gogoi and Sub-Inspector Kajal Dutta led the Gorchuk Police Station team in conducting extensive raids across multiple locations. Based on video analysis, the accused have been identified as Kuldeep Nath (23), from Gakhirchowk; Bijoy Rabha (22), from Boragaon; Pinku Das (18), from Boragaon; Gagan Das (21), from Boragaon; Saurav Boro (20), from Bakul Nagar, Boragaon; Mrinal Rabha (19), from Nizarapar; Dipankar Mukhiya (21), from Padumbari, Tetelia; and Rabin Das, under the jurisdiction of Jalukbari Police Station.
Speaking about the case, police said that the investigation is being pursued with utmost urgency, and a manhunt is ongoing to apprehend more suspects linked to the crime.
