Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh, today reported an overwhelming and spirited participation across the state during the 121st edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship address, “Mann Ki Baat”.
During this latest broadcast, the Prime Minister illuminated the nation’s remarkable strides across diverse sectors, including agriculture, horticulture, scientific research, and space exploration, articulating a compelling vision of New India’s dynamic progress and transformation.
According to a communiqué issued from the BJP State Headquarters at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, the programme was attentively followed by lakhs of party workers across 29,565 booths, under 433 mandals, encompassing all 39 organizational districts of Assam.
State BJP sources said that Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, state party president Dilip Saikia, Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Pabitra Margherita, national secretary Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, alongside the entire coterie of the Council of Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, district presidents, senior office bearers, and grassroots karyakartas, congregated at their designated booths to listen to the Prime Minister’s address, thereby reaffirming the party’s commitment to the people at the grassroots level.
Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma joined the programme at Booth No. 139 under Biman Kuth Mandal of Guwahati Metropolitan District, alongside the district president and other karyakartas. Simultaneously, state president Dilip Saikia participated from Booth No. 182 in Sivasagar, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal from Booth No. 179 under Dibrugarh Madhya Mandal, and Union Minister Pabitra Margherita from Booth No. 183 under Ward No. 29 of Shukleshwar Mandal in Guwahati, accompanied by Guwahati Mayor Mrigen Sarania.
The BJP Assam Pradesh underscored that the extensive grassroots engagement during the broadcast is a testament to the party’s formidable organizational depth and its enduring connection with the people. The massive statewide mobilization around ‘Mann Ki Baat’ reflects the resonance of the Prime Minister’s vision among citizens and the commitment of BJP workers to actively promote national development narratives at the booth level.
