Dispur College spearheads youth drive for ‘Addiction-Free India’ in Guwahati

Dispur College hosts a district-level Youth Awareness Programme on drug abuse, mental health and HIV/AIDS prevention under the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign.

GUWAHATI: The Red Ribbon Club of Dispur College, in association with the Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS) and Brahma Kumaris, Guwahati, organised a district-level Youth Awareness Program on Thursday. The event, titled “Addiction-Free India” (Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan), aimed to raise awareness about substance abuse, mental health, and HIV/AIDS prevention among students and youth. Dr. Sashi Mohan Das, Dean of Students Welfare, addressed the issue of rising drug addiction among students and stressed the need for proactive action.
