GUWAHATI: Dispur Police arrested three youths - Bikash Gogoi of Lakhimpur, Bhaskar Saikia Sonowal, Raju Gogoi and Anek Ering - on the allegation of raping a girl at a guest house at Panjabari in the city last night.
According to the FIR lodged at Dispur Police station, Bikash called the girl to the guest house for dinner with the promise of giving her a job in the Assamese film industry. After the dinner when she was about to go home at 2 am, Bikash Gogoi raped her at gunpoint, the FIR said. She then dialled 100.
According to Dispur OC, they arrested Bikash Gogoi and his accomplices based on the FIR. "We also recovered a 3.2-mm pistol Bikash Gogoi," he said.
