The event commenced at 6 p.m. and attracted a full house, with attendees captivated by the performance's blend of technique, rhythm, and devotion. Conceptualised by Dr. Mansingh, Bhava-Ganga seamlessly integrated classical dance, music, and narrative storytelling, emphasizing universal values through the lens of Indian traditions.
Adding a regional dimension, the performance paid homage to Assam's cultural heritage, with Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra serving as a fitting venue. This connection resonated deeply, linking Assam's artistic essence with India's broader classical traditions and leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

She was honoured with the Srimanta Sankardeva Award, one of Assam's highest cultural accolades, in 2023. This award recognises individuals who have made outstanding contributions to arts and culture. Her enduring association with Assam, exemplified by initiatives like the Bhava-Ganga Programme, highlights her commitment to nurturing regional ties while celebrating the universality of Indian art forms.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, the Government of Assam, and all contributors for their efforts in making the programme a resounding success. About BHAVA-GANGA: The Perennial Flow of Creation
Bharatvarsha is a land of profound historical and spiritual significance, enriched by its sacred geography and deeply rooted in the collective memory of generations. In the contemporary era, marked by modern ideologies, it has become essential to revisit and honour these landmarks, which steadfastly guide us toward truth and enlightenment. Bhava-Ganga embodies this timeless flow of narratives, seamlessly bridging the ancient past with the context and relevance of the present. Through the retelling of legends, it breathes new life into these stories, uncovering nuances and interpretations that may have been overlooked or forgotten due to historical neglect. The narratives explored in Bhava-Ganga include Angaavataran (The Descent of Ganga), Kevat Prasang (The Fortunate Boatman), and Varanasi (The Divine Union of Devi Annapoorna and Shiva Mahadev). Together, these stories form a sacred continuum, inspiring reflection and rekindling the perennial flow of creation. About the Centre for Indian Classical Dances (CICD), a press release said.
