GUWAHATI: The Office of the District Election Officer, Kamrup (M), has published the final electoral roll for five Assembly Constituencies in the district. The constituencies include Dispur, Dimoria, New Guwahati, Guwahati Central, and Jalukbari. The final electoral roll was published on Monday, as per the schedule fixed by the Election Commission of India.
According to the published electoral roll, the Dispur constituency has a total of 249 polling stations and 2,44,730 electors, comprising 1,19,145 males, 1,25,571 females, and 14 third-gender voters. The Dimoria constituency has 240 polling stations and 217,708 electors, with 1,06,082 males, 1,11,620 females, and 6 third-gender voters.
The New Guwahati constituency has 201 polling stations and 194,472 electors, consisting of 140,988 males, 100,378 females, and 6 third-gender voters. The Guwahati Central constituency has 201 polling stations and 195,819 electors, with 170,888 males, 187,727 females, and 8 third-gender voters. Lastly, the Jalukbari constituency has 222 polling stations and 205,300 electors, comprising 183,303 males, 106,989 females, and 8 third-gender voters. The total number of voters is 10,58,029.
The final electoral roll can be inspected at the offices of the respective Circle Officers or Joint District Commissioners. Additionally, the roll can also be inspected at the office of the concerned booth level officer. The publication of the final electoral roll marks a significant step in the electoral process, ensuring that all eligible voters are accounted for and can exercise their right to vote.
