A different incident occurred in Guwahati yesterday, a vehicle overturned near the District Transport Office (DTO) in Betkuchi, leading to a brief disruption in traffic. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
Eyewitnesses say the car overturned after the sole driver lost control and ran into a road divider. The collision resulted in the car overturning, which attracted the notice of pedestrians and other commuters along the road.
A traffic police official of Gorchuk Police Station confirmed the accident saying, "The driver lost control of his vehicle, collided with the divider, and turned upside down. No casualties occurred." The authorities arrived at the site early to regulate the situation and maintain smooth traffic flow. The vehicle was turned back with a crane's help.
