Hyderabad: A Hyderabad court has granted actor Allu Arjun regular bail in relation to the ongoing investigation into the death of a 35-year-old woman in a stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2.

The actor has been ordered by the court to provide two sureties, each worth Rs 50,000, as part of the bail requirements.

A stampede at the December 4 benefit event for Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre killed 35-year-old Revathi, and her 8-year-old son is currently in a private hospital's intensive care unit.

The child's family was recently given Rs 2 crore in compensation by Allu Arjun and the Pushpa 2 producers. Allu Arjun donated Rs 1 crore, while Mythri Movies and director Sukumar contributed Rs 50 lakh each. Dil Raju, a film producer and the chairperson of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, handed the family the money.

The film, which continued its dominance into its fourth week, shattered several records and emerged as a box office phenomenon.
