Manipur: Assam Rifles Conducts Medical Camp In Boro Bekera Sub-Division

A medical camp was organized by the Assam Rifles in the Boro Bekera sub-division's Gaukhal Village in Manipur on Sunday to provide healthcare services to the local people.

IMPHAL: A medical camp was organized by the Assam Rifles in the Boro Bekera sub-division's Gaukhal Village in Manipur on Sunday to provide healthcare services to the local people.

A large number of people arrived at the camp to seek medical assistance which also included people from neighbouring villages such as Jatrapur, Bhoumikpara, Jakrudhar and Narayanpur.

The local villagers were attended by a team of doctors and were provided with free medicines for which the villagers expressed their gratitude.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, the Assam Rifles organized an Art of Living course in Tripura's Radhangar from Januray 6 to 11.

Stress management, mindfulness, building emotional resillience through yoga, meditation and breathing techniques were some of the main highlights of the course.

Assam Rifles also organized a National Integration Tour for Manipur youth, showcasing India’s cultural and historical diversity. Participants visited iconic sites in Hyderabad, including Charminar, Salar Jung Museum, Birla Science Museum, and Birla Temple, followed by a modern urban experience at a mall. The tour will conclude on 16 January in Visakhapatnam.

Additionally, the Assam Rifles honored Martyr Lance Naik Kameshwar Ram with a wreath-laying ceremony at Tengnoupal. They also held a medical camp in Serou Village, benefiting 162 residents, and distributed blankets to elderly tribals in Machi village.

An anti-drug awareness session was also conducted for students in Mantripukhri. The 19th Lt Col Rajeev Bakhshi Memorial Football Tournament began in Parbung, featuring 16 teams and over 500 spectators.
