Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday organized a seminar on the Union Budget 2025-26 at Pasighat in East Siang district, which brought together intellectuals, business leaders, influencers, and senior party members for an in-depth discussion on the budget’s key aspects.
State BJP President Kaling Moyong welcomed the budget, calling it ‘people-friendly’ and focused on inclusive development and economic growth. He highlighted its major provisions and their positive impact on Arunachal Pradesh and the country.
Moyong praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and underscored important reforms, including income tax exemptions and economic policies aimed at accelerating progress.
He pointed out that the tax-free income limit has been increased from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, a move he said has ‘won the hearts of the middle class.’
He also spoke about the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, a scheme designed to enhance agricultural productivity through state partnerships. Additionally, he noted that the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme has been expanded to provide short-term loans up to Rs 5 lakh, benefiting Rs 7.7 crore farmers, fishermen, and dairy farmers.
