BARPETA: A 13-year old boy on Friday drowned at Sundatidiya, Barpeta. Jyotirmoy Das, son of Satyaranjan Das of Sundaridiya and a student of Class VIII of R.T.RT Model School, Barpeta on Friday went to the pond in order to bring water but he did not return,
The SDRF team later recovered his body. The teaching staff of RT Model School and the people of Sundaridiya condoled his demise. The devastating flood had already taken many lives. The flood situation of Barpeta though improved a bit, yet most of the areas remain under water and people are taking shelter in relief camps.
