KOKRAJHAR: Chairman of the Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC) Anil Basumatary on Tuesday extended his greetings to the new portfolio holders of the ABSU led by Dipen Boro as President and Khanindra Basumatary as General Secretary.
Talking to The Sentinel, Basumatary said that the new leadership of the ABSU would focus on the swift implementation of the clauses of BTR Accord, solution of Bodo medium problems across Assam and social transformation with priority. He said that both Dipen Boro and Khanindra Basumatary had been deeply associated with the BTR Accord and they have been playing key roles for speedy implementation of the accord by attending the meetings of the monitoring committee of the implementation of Bodo Accord. He also said that the role of ABSU, for smooth sailing of BKWAC with necessary initiatives of notification of villages from remaining districts, delimitation of constituencies and holding of election, was of utmost importance. He also said that the new team of the ABSU led by Dipen Boro will look into the problems of Bodo medium especially outside BTR districts and will chalk out a comprehensive strategy to find out a solution for thorough implementation of clause 6.3 of the BTR Accord.
