DHUBRI: The body of a young girl of around 18 to 19 years was recovered near State Bank of India opposite Anirban Market of Barpeta Road on Tuesday.
Some people passing by the site spotted the body of the teenage girl and informed the police. Later police recovered the body and sent to Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital in Barpeta for autopsy.
Police picked up three women and body of the girl was identified as Pappy Hazarika alias Disha of Majuli district. Police is investigating into the case.
