DIBRUGARH: BCPL observed Janjatiya Gaurav Divas 2024 in honour of birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a tribal leader and freedom fighter, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
This occasion highlighted the important role of tribal groups in preserving India’s heritage and advancing its progress.
This year the event was observed from November 15 to November 26, coinciding with Constitution Day on November 26. As part of the event, an awareness programme was organized for local students.
Invited resource person Manuranjan Hazarika, Principal B.J.College, Jamirah interacted on the contribution of tribal communities, socio-economic development of the communities, education and livelihood, art, and culture.
Students from Barbaruah Girls H.S School participated in the awareness programme which was organised on November 26 at Administrative Building, BCPL Lepetkata.
On the occasion of the Constitution Day, the preamble of Constitution was read by the employees of BCPL. During the event Pranjal Changmai, Managing Director BCPL, Pruthiviraj Dash, Director (Finance), BCPL, Vijay Kumar Pal, Chief Operating Officer, Alak Baruah , CGM BCPL and other officials of the company were present.
