KHERONI: Under the leadership of Commandant Yatindra Nath Rai from the Noonmati Headquarters, the Delta Company of the 128th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) stationed at Lengey APGCL conducted a significant tree plantation programme in Baithalangso. The initiative was spearheaded by Officer-in-Charge Inspector Rajen Ch Nath, who played a key role in coordinating the event.
The plantation drive took place across the premises of four middle and primary schools in Baithalangso. Approximately 1,500 saplings, including neem, betel nut, azhar, nahar, and various fruit-bearing trees, were planted as part of this green initiative. The programme aimed to promote environmental conservation and raise awareness about the importance of afforestation in the region.
This effort reflected the CRPF’s commitment to community welfare and environmental sustainability, contributing to a greener and healthier ecosystem in West Karbi Anglong.
