NUMALIGARH: Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu lauded the Numaligarh Higher Secondary School for drawing a large crowd for admissions, a testament to the school’s burgeoning reputation. In a social media post, Minister Pegu shared a video of the crowd and expressed his admiration, stating that such scenes inspire him. He noted that this trend is a positive sign for government schools in the state.

The school has been focusing on providing quality education, along with opportunities for students to excel in sports and cultural programmes. With 1,065 students enrolled last year, this year’s numbers are expected to surpass that. The school’s management committee, led by Chairperson Sangeeta Shaikia Rabha, Principal Mohen Saikia, and parents have expressed their delight at this achievement. The local residents have requested Minister Pegu to increase the number of teachers to provide better education to the students.
