KOKRAJHAR: In a proactive move to strengthen flood response mechanisms ahead of the monsoon season, Minister of Handloom & Textiles, Soil Conservation and Guardian Minister of Chirang, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, chaired a comprehensive review meeting on Saturday at the conference hall of the District Commissioner’s office in Chirang, in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Rwngwra Narzary and MLA Ajoy Kumar Ray.
Minister Brahma reviewed the flood preparedness measures undertaken by the district administration and issued key directives to ensure an effective and timely response during the flood season. He emphasized the need for seamless coordination and proactive action from all departments, urging officials to work as a unified team to safeguard the region.
The meeting was attended by key dignitaries and senior officials, including District Commissioner Jatin Bora, Arup Choudhury and Silpika Kalita, Assistant Commissioners, Circle Officers, and heads of various departments.
