Rangia: Kamrup District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra laid the foundation stone for the construction of additional classrooms and separate boys’ and girls’ toilets at Boko High School in Kamrup district. The construction work of the additional classroom and toilets will be carried out under the CSR initiative of North East Transmission Company Ltd (NETC).
The foundation stone-laying ceremony was also attended by Siddhartha Goswami, CEO, Kamrup Zila Parishad; Susanta Kumar Dutta, District Development Commissioner, Kamrup; along with officials from NETC and representatives from the School Management Committee.
The District Commissioner also visited 1 No. and 2 No. Dilinga villages under the Boko Development Block of Kamrup district and reviewed various works undertaken in these villages under the Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana. These included a weaving centre, a training centre for weavers, and an Anganwadi centre. While reviewing the progress of the Anganwadi centre at 525 No. Dilinga L.P. School, Boko, the District Commissioner also interacted with the students of the school.
He further visited the Boko Development Block office and the Chhaygaon Development Block offices on the same day. Additionally, the District Commissioner visited the residence and agricultural field of Rupdhar Boro, a progressive farmer from Balijuri village, Chhaygaon, and discussed various aspects of his agricultural activities, assuring all possible assistance from the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments. During these visits, he was accompanied by Siddhartha Goswami, CEO, Kamrup Zila Parishad, and Susanta Kumar Dutta, District Development Commissioner, Kamrup.
Later, Deba Kumar Mishra also attended the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the construction of additional classrooms and separate boys’ and girls’ toilets at Rani High School. The construction work will be carried out under the CSR initiative of North East Transmission Company Ltd (NETC).
