Assam: Martyrs’ Day observed by district administration of Golaghat

Along with the rest of the country, Martyrs Day was observed by the District Administration of Golaghat at the office chamber of the District Commissioner today.

GOLAGHAT:  Along with the rest of the country, Martyrs Day was observed by the District Administration of Golaghat at the office chamber of the District Commissioner today.

District Commissioner Pulak Mahanta paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters and initiated a two-minute silence in memory of those who sacrificed their lives during the freedom struggle. The programme was attended by all ADCs, Assistant Commissioners, officers, and staff of the District Administration of Golaghat. For the general public of Golaghat, a siren was sounded, operated by Civil Defence Staff through the FLS system for commencement and termination of the two-minute silence.
