DHUBRI: The 56th Annual Rock Climbing Training Course and the 34th Children Adventure Orientation Camp’ 2024 which was organized by the Assam Mountaineering Association concluded recently.
All the trainees were taken to Pancharatna Eco Camp in Goalpara on January 4 and 5 for the last phase of the training in view to make them adapt to the environment and integrate them with nature.
The 56th Annual Rock Climbing Training Course was attended by more than half a hundred trainees from different parts of the state.
The training camp was headed by Manoj Kumar Patowary as training In-Charge and was assisted by Drishti Kashyap Bordoloi and Chandan Kalita as Assistant In-Charge for the training.
The 34th Children Adventure Orientation Camp’ 2024 was also successfully concluded on December 29 last year with the participation of hundreds of children. The camp was held for three days on December 25,28 and 29.
The children’s camp was headed by Trishna Ramchiyari as Training In-Charge and was assisted by Diganta Deka and Anshuman Bora as Assistant in-charges.
Talking to The Sentinel, General Secretary, Assam Mountaineering Association, Manash Barooah informed that the camp provided basic knowledge to the children in most subjects ranging from rock climbing to mountaineering. The children were given training in various mountaineering techniques as well as physical and mental strength development.
