Assam: Police seized drugs in Tinsukia town

Tinsukia police, in their persistent drive against drugs, successfully apprehended 3 drug peddlers in two separate operations in Tinsukia town on Thursday.

TINSUKIA: Tinsukia police, in their persistent drive against drugs, successfully apprehended 3 drug peddlers in two separate operations in Tinsukia town on Thursday.

In a raid during morning at 2 no Gate near New Tinsukia Railway Station, 2 peddlers namely Bitu Gohain and Nate Ekka both from Dibrugarh who arrived by train from Dimapur were apprehended and recovered 43.98 grams of suspected heroin concealed in soap boxes while in another raid at Thana Chariali during evening, the police again nabbed another peddler named Pinki Borah of Dahutia Chowk with 1.95 grams of suspected drugs from his possession.
