Assam: Python terror in Numaligarh

Numaligarh outskirts face python menace; two pythons ate domestic animals, later captured and released by forest officials.

BOKAKHAT: Residents of the outskirts of Numaligarh are losing sleep due to the growing menace of pythons. On Sunday, a python devoured a domestic animal on the road leading to Bormong Gaon near the Numaligarh Refinery’s urban area. Again on Monday evening, another python consumed a goat at Rojabari near the Numaligarh Refinery. Forest officials later captured both pythons and released them in the Deopahar forest area of Numaligarh.
