GOLAGHAT: The Minister of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department of the State Government, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, reviewed the progress of various developmental activities in Golaghat district on Wednesday.
He directed the concerned officials to complete various schemes and works related to Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam State Livelihood Mission, etc., within the specified time frame during a review meeting held at the conference hall of the Circuit Hall in Golaghat district.
Out of the allocated 97,117 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin in Golaghat district, 67,000 houses have been completed so far, and construction of 30,117 houses is ongoing. The Minister instructed the concerned officials in the meeting to ensure that the construction of the ongoing houses is completed by the end of October 30. Additionally, the selection process to empower 1,42,888 women in the district as millionaire mothers under the Chief Minister’s Women Entrepreneurship Scheme has already been completed. In Thursday’s meeting, it was also decided that 26 CLF offices would be constructed in the district through MGNREGA.
