Assam: Two Dead, Two Injured In Collision Between Two Motorcycles In Darrang

The road accident occurred when two motorcycles collided head-on with each other, claiming the life of two individuals while another two persons sustained injuries.

MANGALDAI: In a tragic incident, a fatal accident took place at Gorapori Nisopi Kherajgaon under Dhula police station in Assam's Darrang district today morning.

The road accident occurred when two motorcycles collided head-on with each other, claiming the life of two individuals while another two persons sustained injuries.

A bajaj Pulsar bearing registration number AS 13R 3830 and a TVS Glamour registered as AS 13G 7937 were the two motorbikes involved in the crash.

The deceased have been identified as Sukur Ali of Algachar village and Jamir Ali of Gorapori village. The identity of the injured persons are Kitab Ali and Nasiruddin Ali.

The injured duo were initially admitted to Mangaldai Civil Hospital for medical treatment. One of them had to be rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for better treatment after his condition turned critical.

Meanwhile, earlier last week, an Indian Air Force officer met with a road accident that took place on the Barpeta-Howly road in Assam, leaving him injured.

The injured officer was identified as Dharmendra Kumar who was travelling from Shillong to Bagdogra in West Bengal along with his colleague.

The road mishap occurred when a Swift Dzire vehicle bearing registration number AS 15M 6698 approaching from the opposite direction collided with their vehicle at a high speed.

The officer was driving a Mahindra XUV 700 car bearing registration number DL 1C AF 7778 and he sustained injuries to his hand.
