Assam: Two thieves caught in Jamugurihat

Two thieves identified as Jamal Hussain who originally hailed from Napam, Tezpur and one Imrakul Ali, from Shilbari, Dalgaon, Darrang were arrested by Jamuguri Police.

JAMUGURIHAT: Two thieves identified as Jamal Hussain who originally hailed from Napam, Tezpur and one Imrakul Ali, from Shilbari, Dalgaon, Darrang were arrested by Jamuguri Police in association with the local residents at Gotaimari today. According to information, the duo tried to rob the house of one Mamraj Ali, a resident of Goitamari, while there was no one there this afternoon. The two thieves were caught red handed by the neighbours while they were stealing the valuables of the house. Later on, the local residents of Goitamari informed Jamuguri Police about the incident.

Accordingly, a team of Jamuguri Police reached the site and arrested the duo. It is to be mentioned here that anti-social activities such as thieving, chain snatching, cattle smuggling, drug peddling, etc. are on the rise in and out of the greater Jamugurihat area.
