DIGBOI: “The state of Assam will be one of the most developed states in the country with the constant support and love of the people of Assam towards the BJP government ,” said Assam Chief Minister Dr Hemanta Biswa Sarma on Monday afternoon here in Digboi.

“With the launch of Advantage Assam 2.0, the state in the days to come will see huge investments leading to unprecedented developments thus boosting the economy, taking the state to greater heights,” remarked Dr Sarma.

The Chief Minister was addressing a mammoth congregation comprising the general public, party workers, and supporters during a political rally held at Tingrai General Ground in Tinsukia’s Digboi.

Dr Sarma, accompanied by Cabinet Minister Prasanta Phukan, Rajya Sabha MP Rameswar Teli, five BJP legislators of Tinsukia district including Digboi, Tinsukia, Doomdooma, Sadiya, and Margherita, and senior party leaders, blew the trumpet of the BJP government in Assam, hailing the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.

Chief Minister Sarma, who had come hot-footed from addressing a political rally at Dhemaji in the wake of upcoming Panchayat election, strongly advocated the cause of the party, general people, and their ease of living through various pro-people schemes of the government.

“The state has witnessed unprecedented and tangible developments in various fronts including roads, schools, and infrastructures, etc. Congenial atmosphere for peace and progress has been restored during the BJP rule in Assam. The state has already set on a new journey of cultural, educational, health and infrastructural development during the BJP regime in the state,” reiterated the chief minister.

“Violance, agitations, and unrest have greatly been reduced in the state after the militant organizations came forward for peace talks,” added Dr Sarma. “Violence and bloodshed have given way to peace and enormous progress in the state,” claimed the Chief Minister.

Criticizing the Congress government for adopting politics of ‘blanket, lungi, wool, and thread,’ Sarma said that this modus operandi of the Congress has been replaced by BJP’s people-oriented and development schemes bringing about revolutionary changes across the state.

“Stop voting for lungis and blanket, rather choose to vote for Orunodoi, Mukhya Montri Nijut Moina Scheme, CM Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan, and the like for ease of living,” roared Dr Sarma.

“Enough job opportunities will be created so as to absorb the sons and daughters of Assam who have left the state to earn their bread and butter elsewhere,” assured the Chief Minister while urging the rural voters to vote for the BJP and its ally AGP in the upcoming Panchayat election for Anchalik Panchayat and Zila Parishad seats.

The Chief Minister also assured to physically hand over the benefits under Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan to the beneficiaries of the five constituencies in the month of June next. He also felicitated various new joinees into the party during the rally.
