KOKRAJHAR: A transformative new e-library facility was officially inaugurated on Wednesday at the Bijni Sub-Divisional Library, marking a significant step in enhancing educational access and resources for the region.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Ajoy Kumar Ray, MLA of Bijni, under the guidance of Jatin Bora, Chirang District Commissioner, and Kriti Chachra, Bijni Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil).
The e-Library initiative is a milestone project by the Bijni Sub-Divisional Administration, designed to revolutionize the learning experience for students and the wider community. The facility is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling access to valuable educational resources such as the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), SCERT websites, and various online repositories that offer rich multimedia learning content including videos and animations. Additionally, the e-Library supports students in accessing higher education materials, NPTEL certificate courses and research papers, helping them broaden their knowledge and academic horizons.
The inauguration marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the region’s educational development, with the Bijni Sub-Divisional Administration committed to providing accessible and inclusive learning opportunities for all.
The event was also attended by several key dignitaries, including Bijni Municipal Board Chairman Guneswar Goyary, former MCLA Atin Hajong, ADC of Chirang Firdous Alam Sheikh, and Assistant Commissioners from Bijni. School students and regular library patrons were also present, demonstrating their enthusiasm and eagerness to engage with the new digital learning resources.
