KOKRAJHAR: In a landmark initiative of the Government of BTR, a Butterfly Museum-cum-Conservation and Research Centre was inaugurated at Ultapani Deep inside Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park near Indo-Bhutan border in Kokrajhar district on Thursday. The museum-cum-research centre was ceremonially inaugurated by Cabinet Minister UG Brahma in the presence of BTC chief Pramod Boro, MP Joyanta Basumatary, EM of Forest and Environment Ranjit Basumatary, and MLA Lawrence Islary.
Inaugurating the centre, Minister UG Brahma said that it was a great initiative of the Government of BTR to conserve the precious butterflies found inside the Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park.
