Chirang launches ‘STOP Diarrhoea’ campaign 2025 with intersectoral collaboration

KOKRAJHAR: The District Health Society, Chirang, organized the district-level intersectoral convergence-cum-steering committee meeting and the district-level launching programme of the ‘STOP Diarrhoea’ campaign, 2025 at the conference hall, DRDA, district centre, Chirang on Thursday.

The event aimed to foster collaboration between various intersectoral departments to promote awareness about diarrhoea prevention. As part of the initiative, posters were distributed to the intersectoral departments to encourage awareness at the sectoral level.

The programme was attended by Dr Raju Kr Das, District Nodal Officer (DNO), Dr PN Patel, Sub-Divisional Medical & Health Officer (SDM&HO) of Ballamguri, Sabir Ahmed, Executive Engineer of PHED, Rabin Baruah, Project Officer, DRDA, Chirang, Shyameswar Mushahary, District Social Welfare Officer, Chirang, the District Coordinator (IEC) from PHED, District Media Expert, District Community Mobilizer, and officials from Sidli and Ballamguri BPHC. 

The event underscored the importance of a unified approach to combat diarrhoea and highlighted the collective responsibility of various sectors in ensuring effective public health measures across the district.
