DHUBRI: On the eve of Bhogali Bihu and Makar Sankranti, 1200 blankets were distributed by the Dhubri Lions Club here at their premises on Sunday.
On the occasion, all the senior members, including Bhagawati Bajaj, Bimal Oswal, Amalesh Guha, and Suresh Harlalka, were present at the distribution of blankets programme. Talking to The Sentinel president of Dhubri Lions Club, Sanjay Kumar Sethia informed us that, like every year, this year too they had distributed blankets in huge numbers. “We have distributed the blankets among those people who are extremely poor, marginalized and poverty-stricken. Coupons were given a day ago, and all the people having come with coupons to collect the blankets today”, Sethia said.
