Sonitpur: Lahorijan Police seized over three kgs of heroin from a truck on the National Highway 39 and arrested two people involved in drug trafficking. The driver of the truck too has been arrested.
The two traffickers have been identified as Bhim Gurung, 33 and Rame Gurung, 27. Both are from Manipur. The price of the seized drugs in the international market is estimated at Rs 15 crore.
The Lahorijan police patrol team was headed by Manujal Gogoi, In Charge of the patrol team, Sub Inspector Raju Bahadur Chetry and officer in charge of Dillai police station. Further investigation is on.
