DOOMDOOMA: “The education sector in Assam has introduced a new ‘Hackathon’ education. Hackathon education is already prevalent in developed countries of the world to provide additional education to students. Additional courses have been arranged through hackathon education to develop the brains of the students.” This is the view of Tridip Sharma Tamuli, District Planning Officer, Samagra Siksha, Tinsukia district. He was speaking at the inauguration of the hackathon scheme organized by CRC 1 and 2 of Doomdooma Zone of Urban Block, Tinsukia district at the conference room of Hoonlal Higher Secondary School, Doomdooma on Monday. Facilities have been provided for the preparation and presentation of hackathon projects in two categories. The selected projects will be selected to district level and the selected projects will be sent to state level in future, he said and urged the students to prepare projects on hackathon topics.
Education Officer Tamuli added that 450 universities in the country have covered 15 important additional teaching aspects for the society and the citizens of the country through the ‘Hackathon’ education with the aim of making the students constructive, additional thinking and quality. The hackathon will make the citizens of the country more quality thinkers. Therefore, the hackathon section is trying to innovate by taking it to the students. This will enhance the quality of the new generation. The ‘Hackathon’ was inaugurated by the Principal of Hoonlal Higher Secondary School, Doomdooma, Olip Khan. Then, a total of 11 teams of students from high schools and higher secondary schools under CRC 1 and 2 of Doomdooma Zone participated in the ‘A’ and ‘B’ categories separately on climate change, air and water pollution, excessive mobile and social media use.
