Four separate FIRs lodged demanding arrest of Shyamkanu, Siddharth, Shekhar

Four FIRs target NE Festival organizer and associates over Zubeen Garg’s alleged forced attendance before his death in Singapore.

RANGIA: Four separate FIRs have been lodged against the organizer of the North East Festival at Singapore, Shyamkanu Mahanta, Manager of eminent singer Zubeen Garg, Siddharth Sharma, and Shekhar Goswami for the untimely death of Zubeen Garg, who was allegedly forced to attend the North East Festival in Singapore where he breathed his last.

The villagers of Vehbari, Gurmau, Titkuri, and Barkuriha under Rangia PS gheraoed the PS demanding the arrest and appropriate punishment of these three persons. According to the villagers, despite knowing that the great artiste was ill, Mahanta planned to take Zubeen Garg to Singapore in order to achieve his business objectives and showed an irresponsible attitude due to which the people of Assam lost their beloved artiste forever. They also shouted slogans in front of the Rangia PS and threatened not to calm down until the alleged killers ofZubin Garg were arrested.  Similar FIRs were also lodged by the people of Murara and social organization Bagh Hazarika Aikya Manch.
