Hariyali Teej celebrated with cultural fervour by SSB’s Sandeeksha Parivar at Rangia

The festival of Hariyali Teej was celebrated with great pomp at the camp of Rangia Hahara Shasastra Seema Bal (SSB) by the Sandeeksha Parivar of the battalion.

RANGIA: The festival of Hariyali Teej was celebrated with great pomp at the camp of Rangia Hahara Shasastra Seema Bal (SSB) by the Sandeeksha Parivar of the battalion. The festival was held with traditional gaiety, cultural dignity, and cordial atmosphere. This event was highly commendable as a symbol of Indian culture, women power, and family unity. Sanjana Gupta, the President of 24th Battalion Sashastra Seema Bal, Rangia Sandeeksha Parivar, was the chief guest of the colourful festival.

The programme started with lighting of lamps and worship of Maa Parvati by Sanjana Gupta, President, Sandeeksha Parivar. Women dressed in traditional attires gave unique presentations of folk arts related to Hariyali Teej. Programmes like swing decoration, mehndi competition, folk songs, and dances enthralled everyone.

In her address, Sanjana Gupta said that during the month of Sawan, there is a process of change in the universe. Apart from this, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are considered very close to nature and they love the colour of the earth. Therefore, the green colour is prominent during Sawan fasts. On this day, after the sixteen adornments, women worship Lord Shiva and Parvati and listen to their story.

The members of the Sandeeksha family greeted each other while enjoying traditional delicacies. This event provided everyone an opportunity to unite and connect with Indian folk culture. On this occasion, Sanjana Gupta rewarded the participants of the Sandeeksha family who won the first, second, and third places in various competitions and congratulated them. The programme concluded with a traditional group dance.
