RANGIA: Kamrup Police, headed by Hitesh Ch Roy, Superintendent of Police, seized heroin from a LPG carrying tanker at Amingaon under Kamrup district. Acting on a tip-off and specific input from Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Joint Commissioner, Security and```` Intelligence, Guwahati Police, they recovered 250 grams of heroin worth Rs. 1.5 crore from the LPG carrying tanker which was coming from Manipur to Dimapur. Two persons, namely Imanuel Kharshing and Kangthakyam Ajay Meteiko, the driver and his assistant respectively, were detained by the police. Interrogation is on.
