DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of Doomdooma Moina Parijat and with the active cooperation of child sculptor Hemantaraj Moran Child Development Fund, the birth anniversary of Bishnu Prasad Rabha was observed as Kalaguru Divas at Doomdooma HS Girls’ School recently. Altogether, 16 branches of Moina Parijat from different parts of the district performed songs, poems, and dances based on the songs of the great artist Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rava. Their participation made the programme very lively.
The event was attended by this year’s Literature award-winning writer Sarat Chandra Chiring Phukan, Principal of Rangajan Secondary School Raktim Hazarika, and many others who have enriched the literary and cultural field of the district.
A song on Bishnu Prasad Rabha composed, directed, and recorded by child sculptor Hemantaraj Moran was released by Dharitri Moran, a former member of Moina Parijat and a talented artist of Assamese music, in the function.
