Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Sonitpur concludes 15-Day training for agri-input dealers

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sonitpur successfully completed the 15days training programme for Agricultural Input Dealer’s which was started from August 2, 2025 and ended on August 16, 2025.

TEZPUR: KrishiVigyan Kendra, Sonitpur successfully completed the 15days training programme for Agricultural Input Dealer’s which was started from August 2, 2025 and ended on August 16, 2025. The training was jointly organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sonitpur and District Agriculture Office, Sonitpur. In these 15days, the dealers were taught about different agricultural aspects like Suitable cropping systems for existing agro- ecological situations, Macro and Micro nutrient deficiencies in soil and their symptoms and managements approaches, Different type of fertilizers and their methods of applications, Classifications of pesticides, Integrated Nutrient Management –principles and practices, nano fertilizers, agricultural irrigation system, apps used in agriculture. Besides, other topics like different types of  farm machineries and their component, repair and maintenance of farm implements and machineries, Rural credit- Micro finance, crop insurance etc. were covered. An exposure visit North East Farm Machinery training and testing institute, Biswanath was also organized for the participant to gain practical knowledge on machines and tools used in agricultural practices.

Various resource person from Department of Soil Science, Plant pathology from Biswanath college of Agriculture has delivered their insightful lectures during the training. District Agriculture Officer, Sonitpur,  Naren Ch. Sarmah, SDAO Dr. Khanindra Ratna Barman and Dr. Jakir Hussain also delivered their elaborated lectures on various National level schemes related to agriculture such as PMFBY, KCC, Farmer’s registration etc. A total of 33 input dealers of Sonitpur has participated in the training programme. The fifteen days training programme lead by Dr. Namita Dutta, (KVK, Sonitpur) has came to a conclusion with a certificate distribution ceremony among the participants.
