NAGAON: Krishna Ratna Foundation organized the Professor Krishna Ram Bora Memorial National Lecture on ‘Srimanta Sankardev Sangeet Kalpana: Baibhav aru Bristitee’ at the Nagaon district library auditorium on Sunday.
Noted educationist, professor and scholar of ‘Bhakti’ traditions, Dr Pradip Jyoti Mahanta participated in the programme as the keynote speaker. Noted artiste, music composer, director and singer - Tarali Sarma inaugurated the programme by performing a Borgeet at the very outset. Noted Sanskrit scholar, litterateur and professor, Guna Saikia welcomed the guests and other attendees.
Dr Mallika Kandali, eminent exponent as well as a scholar of Xattriya dance, also participated as an special invitee in the programme and also performed Xattriya dance during the programme. The programme was initiated as well as patronized by Amitabh Bora, social activist and the elder son of Prof Krishna Ram Bora.
