NUMALIGARH: As a part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), Assam Minister of Agriculture, Excise, etc. Atul Bora distributed approval letters to beneficiaries in Bokakhat and Golaghat districts today. The programme, held at the Bokakhat Central Bihutali, aimed to provide housing assistance to the rural poor. Minister Bora, who is also the local MLA, handed over the approval letters to 2,294 beneficiaries, marking a significant milestone in the implementation of PMAY-G in the region. Addressing the gathering, Minister Bora emphasized the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing to the rural poor. He highlighted the progress made under PMAY-G and urged the beneficiaries to utilize the assistance wisely, ensuring timely completion of their houses. The Minister also touched upon various development initiatives undertaken by the current government, aiming to elevate Assam to the top five states in the country. The programme was attended by local officials, panchayat members, dignitaries, and beneficiaries. Key dignitaries present included Shivani Jerngal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bokakhat, Ananta Gogoi, CEO, Zilla Parishad, Ratneswar Baruah, Chairman, Bokakhat Municipal Board, and representatives from various departments and organizations.
