NHRCCB and DLSA celebrated World Environment Day

JAMUGURIHAT: The National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau (NHRCCB), Assam and the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) are proud to announce their collaboration in celebrating World Environment Day 2023. This joint initiative aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices in our communities. World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5, provides a global platform to address pressing environmental challenges and advocate for positive change. NHRCCB and DLSA are committed to playing a significant role in restoring and preserving our planet’s natural resources in accordance with the theme for this year’s celebration being ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. The collaborative efforts of NHRCCB and DLSA will include various activities and programmes throughout the day leading up to World Environment Day. These initiatives are designed to engage individuals, organizations and communities in meaningful actions that contribute to environmental sustainability. Some of the key events include community-driven initiatives to plant trees in jail, schools and other designated areas.
