A retired teacher of Panpur High School, Bishnu Sarma (79) passed away due to old-age related ailments on July 13. Sarma, a resident of Puranibheti, Panpur to the south of Jamugurihat, was closely associated with many socio-cultural organizations of Panpur area. His demise was widely mourned in the Panpur area. He leaves behind a son, a daughter along with a host of relatives.
