GOLAGHAT: A tragic road accident took place on National Highway 39 in Nambor forest area in Golaghat district on Wednesday. In the accident, the driver of the bus died on the spot and more than 20 passengers were injured. The deceased has been identified as Nila Hazarika. As per reports, the accident involved a head-on collision between a Priyankee Travels bus (AS03CC2953) and a truck (AS17C5875). The injured passengers were rushed to the Shahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat for treatment and some were later referred to the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for further care due to the severity of their injuries.
