Bongaigaon: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with warmth and enthusiasm at the Sector Headquarters of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Bongaigaon. Women from Seemant Chetna Manch – Northeast and female SSB personnel tied rakhis to the jawans, many of whom are posted far from home. Deputy Inspector General Amit Kumar Thakur expressed gratitude to the participants and extended festive greetings to all officers, personnel, and their families. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets among the staff.
GOLAGHAT: The 142 Battalion CRPF celebrated Raksha Bandhan with warmth and enthusiasm at its headquarters in Golaghat, in the gracious company of children from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, P.M. Shri Kacharihat High School, Ekal Abhijan Sewa Sangthon, PUJA Nritya Kala Kendra, Natraj Dance Academy, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, DR College and other schools and Colleges coordinated by the Golaghat District Education Department.
The celebrations began with children tying Rakhis to CRPF personnel, symbolizing the enduring bond of trust, protection, and affection between the Force and the community.
A vibrant cultural programme followed, featuring traditional dances, patriotic songs, and thematic performances by children and troops, showcasing the spirit of unity, harmony, and brotherhood. Speaking on the occasion, the Second-in-Command, on behalf of the Commandant, 142 Bn CRPF, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to all participating institutions and emphasised that such occasions strengthen the emotional connect between the CRPF and the people it serves. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets, group photographs, and a community lunch for all participants, leaving behind cherished memories of camaraderie and togetherness.
