DHUBRI: The Ramani Kanta Basu Memorial Quiz Competition 2021, an inter-college (Dhubri district) quiz competition was organized by Quiz Club, B N College, Dhubri on Friday. Altogether 50 participant teams from six colleges of the district participated in the competition.
The theme of the quiz competition was 'Know India', covering topics in Geography, Literature, Art & Culture, Environment, Politics and History of India. Principal of BN College, Dr. Dhruba Chakrabortty inaugurated the quiz competition. He spoke about renowned educationist Ramani Kanta Basu, the founder secretary of BN College, Dhubri. Sadiqul Ahmed and Dharitri Sarkar, both members of Quiz Club, BN College, Dhubri acted as Quiz Masters in the quiz. Altogether four elimination and 11 final rounds are conducted by the quiz master.
The first prize was won by the team of Mintu Das and Pranami Kashyap of B N College, second prize by Aneswa Karmakar and Saumyadeep Das of B N College , and third prize by Shubhonkar Sarkar and Bishal Kundu of B N College. The first, second and third winning teams were given certificates along with cash prizes of Rs. 8,000, Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 4,000 respectively. A running trophy was handed over to the champion team.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the presence of Dhubri Superintendent of Police, Anand Misra, Dhubri DFO, Vijay T Plave, and president of Dhubri Journalists' Association, Bijoy Kumar Sharma.
