SVEEP hosts ‘Tea with Chameli’ voter awareness drive in Golaghat village

GOLAGHAT: The State Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Cell of Golaghat organized an awareness programme titled ‘Tea with Chameli’ at Bonkowal village under Mohuramukh on Monday. The programme was conducted to encourage citizens to actively participate in the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly Election scheduled for April 9, 2026. The main objective was to spread awareness about the importance of voting and to increase voter participation in the district. During the programme, the SVEEP team interacted with the villagers over a tea session, engaging them in discussions about the significance of each voter’s role in strengthening democracy.
