DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of Sadiya co-district administration and in collaboration with the departments of culture, forest, and Sadiya College, World Environment Day (WED) was observed at Chapakhowa on Thursday.
Besides tree plantation, distribution of tree saplings and a quiz competition, one street drama titled ‘Fever of River’ was enacted by Suryadoy Natyagosthi.
In the quiz competition, the general public too offered cooperation to the students and the teachers while Co-District Commissioner Manashjyoti Nath and the Principal, Sadiya College Dr Bhupen Chutia graced the occasion and addressed the gathering.
